This page explains how DestiRoam researches, writes, reviews and updates its content, and how we keep editorial and commercial work separate.
Our purpose
We publish practical, honest guides that help readers choose where to travel, stay and celebrate. Our first loyalty is to the reader.
How we research
- We use official sources where they exist, such as tourism boards, government websites and venue or hotel information.
- We check facts that change, such as seasons, entry rules and opening periods, before publishing.
- Where our authors have first hand experience of a place, we say so and share it.
How we write
- We answer the main question clearly near the top of each article.
- We use plain, international English and explain local terms.
- We do not publish prices, because they change quickly and can mislead readers.
- We avoid exaggeration and claims we cannot support.
Use of digital tools
Like many publishers, we use digital tools, including AI writing assistance, to help with research, outlining and drafting. Every article is reviewed, fact checked and edited by our editor before it is published, and our editor is responsible for everything we publish.
Images
We use our own photographs, licensed images and original illustrations. Illustrations are artistic representations and are not photographs of specific places or venues.
Sponsored content and independence
Some content on DestiRoam is sponsored or written by guest contributors. It is always clearly labelled, and paid links are marked in line with search engine guidelines. Partners do not control our independent guides. Read our full sponsored content policy.
Corrections and updates
We review popular articles regularly and update them when information changes. Each article shows the date it was published or last updated. If you spot an error, email hello@destiroam.com and we will review it promptly.
